The Textile Society of Hong Kong is very pleased to welcome this eminent speaker and well-known expert on Chinese rank-badges. Judith Rutherford is president of the Asian Arts Society of Australia (TAASA) and a specialist and consultant in the field of Chinese textiles. She has lectured extensively on many aspects of Chinese textiles, costume and symbolism and contributed articles to many journals, both in Australia and internationally. She will be talking to us about the different phases that she has gone through on her textile journey and some of the people and textiles she has encountered along the way, as well as the role collectors can play in enhancing knowledge of textiles.
