Small group - 9 days and 8 nights
The excursion will be an opportunity to observe a group cremation in Ubud, which takes place every 4-5 years. The preparations leading to the day of the cremation include processions and dances. Visits to textile producers and other groups interested in preserving textiles of Bali are also on the agenda. Natural dye demonstrations and a batik class are a few of the trip's activities.

Dr. Linda S. McIntosh currently a consulting curator for The James HW Thompson Foundation and the Tilleke and Gibbins Textile Collection in Bangkok will lead Murni's Textile and Cultural Tour, 26 July - 3rd August 2012 in Ubud Bali.
